My Favorite Eureka Springs Restaurants

There are very few national chain restaurants in Eureka Springs. Instead there are many unique restaurants offering everything from Caribbean cuisine to authentic Mexican, German and local fare.

Each year the Arkansas Times Newspaper conducts a Readers Choice contest to recognize the best restaurants in the state of Arkansas. The contest divides the winners based on whether the restaurant is located in Little Rock or elsewhere in the state. 11 local restaurants in Eureka Springs won top honors or runner up for the entire state excluding Little Rock.

Here are some of my favorite restaurants in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  You will notice that most close at 9 pm.  If you like to dine late; just be sure to arrive a little before 9 and most will still serve you.

Local Flavor.  Located downtown just up from the Trolley depot.  Local Flavor is open for lunch Monday thru Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm.; and dinner 4 pm – 9 pm.  They also serve a great Sunday Brunch from 9 am – 2 pm. Local Flavor has the best salads in town as well as great burgers and sandwiches.  Be sure and ask about their daily specials.  They also have several decadent homemade desserts including bread pudding and my favorite pecan pie.  

Mud Street Cafe . .Located in the downtown area at the corner of Spring and Main Street.  Mud Street Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch everyday from 8 am – 3 pm except Wednesday.  This is a great breakfast spot; and although I am not a coffee drinker; they always win awards for their various coffee selections.
